The casual observer might find it odd to note several articles dealing with health in our blog; but there is a point to all of this.  Here at Insurance Wagon Insurance we see insurance as just one component of a broader discipline called risk management and only part of the service we provide.

Other facets of risk management include identifying risk, whether it be in your personal life or business pursuits, and to the extent possible, quantifying the likelihood of an accident or loss happening.  Risk management also includes some additional quantification estimates - assessing the cost of an 'average' loss as well as the cost of a 'worst case scenario.  These activities are at the heart of a centuries old practice known as underwriting (keep an eye out for our blog post on the history of insurance and coffee for more on this).

Good risk management should identify opportunities to reduce risk - the chance of loss.  Doing so can sometimes remove the need for insurance, and at other times, risk management can reduce the cost of any insurance you may ultimately need to purchase, essentially transferring risk to a third party for a smaller fee (the insurance premium).

So in the context of risk management, articles and tips about healthy living aren't so strange.  Our job at <Agency Name> is to help you identify and avoid loss in all the various forms it might take - fire, car accident, theft...and illness - and then insure only what really needs to be insured.

We at Insurance Wagon Insurance want to continue to bring you news and information that you find relevant and helpful.  We do our best but if you have any questions, feedback or ideas for other articles and videos, please let us know.
